Institute of Technology projects received funding from Feasibility Fund
University of Tartu started a Feasibility Fund in order to support experimental project that have potential to reach a new innovative product or service. The fund started as a support method in Science and Technology field last year and since that, the focus has widened to the University as a whole. The fund received 49 apllications, of which ten were funded all together with 263 440 euros.
"Our aim is to direct research to the society, because many of the good ideas have been left in the drawer or are too raw for companies to use them. With this fund we can support these kind of projects to develop and make them public to the business that may be interested in them." said Vice Rector for Development Erik Puura.
From Science and Technology field, Institute of Technology researchers received funding for two projects:
- Joachim Matthias Gerhold "The innovative solution for analyzing plant performance in the field";
